rebuild kit
 

I'm looking for some information on what everyone recommends to use? I'm planning on rebuilding an engine for boost and I'm looking to make about 350 to 400 whp. I've seen that racing beat has a rebuild kit and I have also seen pineapple racing has a rebuild kit as well. I was recommended goopy as well. what would you all recommend?

Based on the information you provided, the assumption can be made you're not talking about a 13brew. I will gather you're talking about something for an fc. When it comes to rebuild "kits" I would advise not buying them. They typically include everything to the point that you're getting gaskets and seals for things you're eliminating or just don't need. On top of that, there are A LOT of aftermarket options for the internal gaskets and seals that exceed the performance of the factory stuff. It's best to peice together the stuff you need. You can potentially end up spending less, you'll only have what you need, you have options as to what you want to spend more on and you won't end up with any excess. Sit down and make a list of everything you need/want and price it all out individually and compare it to one of the "kits".

no I have not I'm just trying to get a good idea of companies to look at for a rebuild would you recommend atkins over like racing beat or goopy?

What do you mean "rebuilding for boost"? What engine are you starting with?

I have always used the Mazda factory gasket kits, or the Atkins rebuild kits. For the first time rebuilder, the Atkins kits are the easiest to deal with as you can buy them in a package and know all the parts are correct.

You'll need to pull the engine apart before you know what you'll need.

I'm looking in to a car an it has a popped engine in it so I'm just looking at what good brands are to do a rebuild. As far as the engine I believe it was a FC S4 engine and by build for boost I mean it is an N/A engine and I would like "stronger" seals to try and reach my power goals safely as possible.

Are you sure your rotor housings, rotors, coolant channels, irons, etc... are all up for high boost even with all of the new seals/gaskets provided in the rebuild kit? You might also want to add a mild port while you've got the block apart.
I'm currently working with a rotary mechanic in LA to make sure I get my rebuild done right and I've already been shown a few things (i.e., warped housings, a little water channel corrosion) I would've missed myself. My engine could've blown up again real quick...

Sounds like its your first time rebuilding, if so, i would recomend you to look a atkins too. Some rebuild kits come i levels, you might want to get a kit with most seals, gaskets, its better have them and not need them, than need them and not have them. If its your first time, you will break seals/gaskets by accident.
Inspect all your parts when you disassenble the engine and you might find out that you might need other part not including in the renuilding kit. Good luck man. Post your rebuild in the forum too, thats my favorite place to look and read.

Start with a turbo 13B. Any turbo install on the NA engine is fully custom.
