Quick Question about FC trim
just a quick question I wanted to throw out, I'm replacing the door molding on the outside of the car, I just got my molding and it was used. I know people have replaced the trim before, so I wanted to know what Adhesive you guys used... people said Rubber cement, but I figured I'd make sure first before I start messing with it. Thanks for your time guys!! |
3M red automotive trim tape. It takes about 24 hours for it to cure after use, but once it has cured, it will not come off. Make sure both surfaces are completely clean before use.

Thanks!! I'm looking into it now.

Yeah this is the broken trim I'm taking off, last owner was lazy and just put a screw in to hold it to the door.:(
I looked into that tape, anything a little cheaper... That stuff is super expensive http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...s/DSC00221.jpg |
Some good double sided mounting tape will hold it. Not as well as what Aaron suggested, but it will get the job done.

I'm probably gonna be buying a TurboII tomorrow:egrin: I had already ordered the trim, so I figured I'd put it on. |
If you spy some stuff called "the right Stuff" that would work too.
it s a Gasket sealing material like RTV,or caulking. it is not cheap either but Honestly once that stuff is cured the moulding will not come off!.The Stuff Cures Sooo good that when you use it as a Manifold gasket, you have to Bang the manifold OFF with a Mallet,as it seals the livin shit out of it! |
