Questions and tips for restoring my FD
 

Hello, I've had my 93 Touring model for about 12 years since I graduated high school. Unfortunately after owning it for 3 months it overheated and while I was waiting to be towed a brand new 350z crashed into three cars with the last car going into my hood. After getting the body fixed its literally been sitting on my driveway as I never had the money to put into rebuilding it. Now that I finally have a career I have the ability to save and put in the funds necessary to rebuilding and restore my dream car. I do have some questions and any tips/advice would be so helpful!

1. I've saved about 4g's for the engine already, but I want to know how much might my full rebuild cost? I want to put in 10 g's right away towards restoring the engine, suspension, interior, etc. Any idea's what else might need to be restored?
2. Besides Lucky 7 racing, and Rotary Power USA any other good shops in the Los Angeles area to bring my car to?
3. When my car came back from the body shop they sealed my sunroof..I was hoping on having that fixed also. What would the cost be?

Thanks and once again any tips and advice would be so helpful! Its been a long time since I've done my research on my car. Im finally ready to put in the hard work necessary to restore my car.

Don't put another dime into the car until it's insured...fully.

I would go with a new engine. Start unmolested. My 2 cents anyway.

Tri-Point Engineering up in Northern LA is pretty good, I had my pre purchase inspection done by them.
I'm hearing from other members that they're pretty pricey compared to other rotary specialists.

I can help with the first question. Engine rebuild depends on who's building it, how it's being rebuilt (ports, dowels, etc.), and whether or not you use all new parts or reman. I would recommend Eccentric Motorsports or Mazmart and use new parts (housings, rotors, etc.).
