Any good name CONVENTIONAL oil is good for a rotary, primarily 20w-50 though, 10-30 seems to be to thin by the general consensus

Well i heard that 10/30 was a good all year round. But but 20/50 for summer right? Hot weather in general?

This is all frequently asked stuff and can be found if you download the Factory Service manual at Foxed.ca.

Yes, it's fine.

I prefer Castrol GTX because it is good a controlling sludge in rotary engines. However, pretty much any brand of motor oil is fine.

See the factory service manual for which oil to use in a given outside temperature range. I use 10W-40 year-round in St. Louis. Yes, 20W-50 is for hot climates, and I used it when I lived in Florida.
