Power window stuck down
Window was stuck down when I got the car. I took door panel off thinking I could disengage motor and push it up until I could replace the motor....yea that didn't work and I have rain coming tommorrow and I don't want to put more tape gunk on my car to get off later. Any tips or tricks?

There are two wires to the window motor. Place a ground on one wire and voltage from the battery on the other and the window will either go up or down and if it goes down then reverse the polarity of the two terminals on the window motor and the window should now move in the opposite direction.

Thanks
Thanks I'll give that a shot tommorrow. Really think motor is gone bc I hear nothing from it when I hit the switch but it's worth a shot

window switches commonly fail, window motors not so much.

Disasemble the switch housing clean with some scotch bright and your good to go

Had to clean Botha mine about 11 years ago
|
Vinegar also gets rid of the contact crud

it'll just happen again, eventually killing the switches.
