Porting/turbo-ing a GSL-SE

Been reading into porting my RESI 13B and have seen that its a 6 port vs a 4 port and was wondering how that affects street porting the car (and potential future turbo). Im also curious as to what all I would need in terms of upgrades to port or turbo the car. Thanks for all input

Welcome to the board. :)

You're discussing two issues that can get out of control fairly quickly on their own, so I will try to keep it simple, but specific to your S3 13B.

Streetporting

Nothing wrong with doing it if you have the chance. Personally, I'm not sure I would go out of my way to do it (i.e. disassemble the engine JUST to port it). If done correctly, you will see gains over stock, but the fact is you have other things holding you back (intake, age, etc.) Also, keep in mind that, at minimum, you will need an exhaust system to make it worthwhile.

Turbocharging

Can you turbo the engine? Yes.
Do you have better options if you want to go turbo? Yes.

At this stage in the game, and this is my opinion, the SE engine is over the hill - best to be kept stock or mildly modified, longevity being the main goal. What I mean is everything is wrong (replacement parts, 3 mm seals, port timing, etc.). You're better off starting with a newer engine, and if that's the case, then start with a factory turbo block.
