Parts hard to find????

Sorry if this has been asked before, I searched the newcomer threads and did not see the question.

As I am getting back in to RX-7 with 85 SRX-7 I am hearing that parts are hard to find. Mostly casings and rotors for racing application. Not sure how many were built (FB & FC other then a lot) but sounds like bull to me. The Miata crowd talking trash.

What is the reality of the situation. Your insight is appreciated.

13B components are plentiful and still available new, so that's not a problem of availability.
12a components are mostly available. However, new 12a rotor housings are no longer available, so you're only source is going to be core engines (won't know until you open it up) or buying individual good parts (gets pricey). You can get them re-chromed if the damage isn't too bad, but that depends on the part. In the end, everything is available at a cost. The question is whether or not it is reasonable to you. Peruse the 1st gen classified sections for rotor housing prices and see how it fits in your budget.

Do a browse of the 1st gen for sale section to find out yourself if they have what you think you would need

I sure am glad I live in a big city to meet all my rotary needs
