hey guys y rx7 is still over heating but now its pushing all my coolant into my over fllow and i h ave no heat with a thermostat in the car think the thermo is just bad?

sounds like the engine is Toast.
Try this: put coolant into the cooling system with cap OFF..Start the car up.IF it Spews up like a geyser.then your Engine is shot.,Rebuild time.
Your coolant will also Bubble(see Champagne test.) if the coolant seals are showing signs of Failure.

check the t-stat. put in a pot of water and bring it to a boil to see if it opens. it should open fully. next would be the rad. have a repair shop test it. rarely do water pump impellers rust away but it does happen causing them to not move coolant. all this may or may not be ur no heat issue. either there's no coolant going thru the core(stopped up) or the heater control isn't opening the little valve under the dash allowing it to flow.

Make sure your thermostat is a Mazda one. Not all of the aftermarket ones work correctly in a rotary. Look inside the radiator, do you see corrosion build up around the tubes? If so then it's time to have the radiator rebuilt/replaced.

is the thermostat installed with the pointed section UP towards the Coolant neck?.I'm asking because it can be done by mistake.That would make the thermostat not open at the right time,as the Spring doesn't get warmed up coolant to run across it and open it up as it should.
By the way,you state that it is STILL overheating.
How did the car overheat in the first Place?.what is the Story behind this?.explain if you can.
..another thing is to check the hoses between the overflow and rad,to make sure that the hoses are not cracked or clogged.Check the bottle and cap to see of the hose is connected to the cap.You need to have the hoses in good condition so that the coolant can be expelled from the radiator when the car gets warm and then be able to Take it back in as the car cools down..(It is called a "give and take" cooling system.).

the thermostat is installed correcty. when it is inn my car it doesn't work but i can put it in a pot of boiling water and it opens. but to start from the begining i bought the car and it said it had a overheating issue so i bled the system and it went away untill i tried to make a road trip in it theni found out it didn't have a thermostat once i put the thermo in it ran just fine but at the time i didn't know to only use a OEM thermo so i bought a 8 dollar stant 185 and all my hoses are in good condition I recently replaced the upper rad hose because the engine had so much preasure that it blew that hose but the hose was in really bad condition, also I dont believe my coolant seals are gone, they may be going out I have seen steam once from my exhaust after it was shut off after it started to heat up but that was nearly 3 months ago but not once ever since and also I havve noticed with the thermo in the car the bottom hose will be cold when the top is hot also I have just replaced the water pump and its starting to turn a orangish color on the outside from getting hot this is just confusing me...oooo can someone show me a picture of where the coolant level sensor is?

hot top hose, cold bottom hose, it's got to be no coolant going thru the rad. that sensor is in the top tank of the rad.

i have a sensor with burnt wires that broke off it seriously looks like the sensor was on fire..

Which sensor? If you are referring to the wires around the ACV area, then this isn't an uncommon problem. Replace the solenoid of the wires to it are burned.

this is going to sound retarded but i dont know that acv area but its on the passanger side of the enginge

he asked for a pic of where the coolant level sensor was. then he mentioned bout burnt wires so i took it he was still talking bout the coolant level sensor.

and i'm guessing acv is air control valve?

thats what I was thinking but im not sure the sensor that has burnt wires is behind the water pump on the passenger side
