Online purchases?

Just got a quick question for you guys. Been looking online for some coilovers. I drive a 87 turboII. Found a guy on ebay that has some nice hks used coils. My location is Georgia and his is California. Has anyone ever bought used parts from eBay and what could I be getting myself into? It's a great deal but I'm skeptical. Dude has good feedback also.

Ebay has buyer protection so you are good in that aspect.
Like any other endeavor though it's Buyer Beware and do so at your own risk.Nothing is 100 percent on transactions done on the internet, you just have to take the good with the bad.

Sure, lots of parts have been sold and bought on this Forum,Ebay,Craigslist, other car forums,But it all comes down to the integrity of the seller and the parts being operational.
That is the only downfall. It's a gamble, and that is your choice whether to take it or not.
The upside is you get what you need and for a good price if things work out.

Very true. It's a great deal on some Hks hypermax coils and re mirrors. $700 for the whole bundle. Just skeptical over sending an individual $700 without seeing the product in person. Guess I'll just take a chance.

Your best defense is Research by YOU.
That way if shit goes downhill you have nobody else to blame.
Seller/Buyer Feedback is always a good indicator of what to expect.
If the Guy has a 100 percent transaction rating then he is either Honest and good with what he sells..
...OR he is just waiting for YOU..to take a vacation after he collects that 700..and go to FIJI and Party!

actually some of that stuff isn't half bad.Depends on the brand.
I know guys that are not running the name brand turbos and they have driven the living Be-Jesus out of them and they held up.(motor went, turbo survived..lol!)
As I mentioned it's research that makes or breaks a deal.

I think that's the same guy I purchased my coilovers from over the summer. In which case, you'll be just fine.
