oil cooler!

hey guys! currently in the midst of getting all the parts to swap the 13b-rew in my cosmo an a buddy of mine gave me a set of rx8 dual oil coolers. Now, I wanted to know if I could use them on my 94 13b-rew since I believe the thermostat temperatures arnt the same

cheers

It has been done before, I've seen it on an FD once, but the lines can be a pain and also the mechanical OMP needs to tuned for it obv so the oil pressure doesn't take a shit. Hope that helped!

@Roach but isn't the omp on the FD electronic? Anyways, i'm gonna run full premix and delete the omp! and what do you mean when you say the lines are a pain ?

thanks!

*Yes, the FD OMP is electronic... load and rpm dependent thru the ECU.
*In any case I’m not seeing what the OMP has to do with oil coolers.
*Because the FD OMP is partly rpm dependent and premixing is dependent only on injector duty, there is a growing number of owners who premix at a reduced rate WITH an OMP. You might want to search.
*This is all I could find on using RX8 coolers with the 13b REW...

Thats what wanted to do at first but my ms3x isnt omp compatble, to prevent underlubrication i will just deactivate fuel cut at 0 throttle, might affect my fuel consumption but better safe than sorry!
