not sure

if this will go here or not... i'm still a noob, but this is audio:Wconfused ...

I have a JVC hu that was in my accord... but now that i have my 7, i can't seem to get any power to it. I looked at Icemark's posting in the FAQ for the wiring... Initailly i was trying to use a direct line to the battery, but that didn't work... So then I tried the LTblue/Red for power. The first one was grounded to a metal clip (wire held on to see if power was there), second I grounded to the metal behind the dash, still no power. The fuse on the HU is good, and the fuse in the box on the kick panel is good too...
Once i get power the speakers will be cake... but getting power seems to be the problem...
Any and all help is appreciated.

Check the room fuse. Chances are if you can't find a wire with constant battery power, you have a blown room fuse.

At the factory wiring at the back of the radio there should be constant battery power, as well as switched accessory power. If none of the wires have this, then you probably just have blown room and radio fuses.

oh.. i should have probably mentioned 88 vert...

Icemark- I checked the room fuse, it for some reason was rated at 30A... even though in the secondgen FAQ it says 7.5... And does it not sit level with all the fuses around it? Mine sat higher than the rest, is that normal or no?

So i switched out the lowest one i had, 10A, but still no power to stereo... Maybe i need to find a 7.5A fuse...
Are they supposed to face any certain direction? both the Audio fuse and the room fuse?

okay, i took it to a fellow RX7 owner, I don't know if he is on here though... He sais that the wires on the stereo were backward... and fixed to the correct positions... Then i went and put some new speakers in the doors, giving him the old ones... Everything worked! except the memory/accessory wire... It doesn't hold the stations or it doesn't keep settings for the CD...
:)

If its not keeping your settings then what should be your main power is only an accessory power wire
