non-sequential help

I have an FD rx7 non sequential does anybody know if it will it pass inspection in NC?
Is it possible to have my setup back to a sequential?

I'm not the best person to answer this but since you haven't had responses yet I'll throw out my thoughts and it'll bump you back up in the process.

I don't see why it wouldn't pass the exhaust analysis, especially if they just test it at idle like a lot of places.

If they do a visual, if you have the stock twins that just are setup to run non-seq, I wouldn't think that they would catch that. My impression is that inspections aren't as rigorous in Southern states as they are in the North and in California.

thanks for the help CrimsonPride, i already bought the solenoids and valves that i need to put it back to sequential though so we will see how that goes.
thanks anyways though

I personally don't know either as I'm sequential. If any of the emissions related solenoids and airpump were disabled, then it would affect emissions.

You may want to look in the 3rd gen FAQ thread for links to sequential as it probably was mentioned there.

Don't forget that non-sequential also involves some mechanical changes with the flapper door.

Thanks gracer7, what exactly is the flapper door? I'm only 17 and need help with my car since im new to this

Flapper door is part of the manifold. Check the 3rd gen FAQ for the non-sequential tips and how to.

Going nonsequential has no effect on the emissions of the engine. There are two turbos on the stock setup, there are two turbos on the nonsequential setup.

Now if you've removed emissions components, your inspections will care more about that. A lot of people remove that when they go nonsequential, but really it has nothing to do with nonsequential turbo function.
