No Spark Issue
Hello, I'm a new owner of a 1992 FD RX-7. I'm experiencing a crank no start issue.
A little back story: beginning of last week, my car was driving fine with no sign of issue. And through out the week, I would just start it up and let it get to operating temp. It was until the next day, upon start up it made a pop from the exhaust. I made it idle for awhile then took I drove it out of my driveway. Giving it gas in first gear felt fine, until I shifted to second and gave it a little more gas I heard a noticeable pop (idk if it came from the exhaust or what) the car stalled. I attempted to start it up again but it would just crank. After pushing the car into my garage, I attempted to start it up. The car made a pop from the exhaust and I heard it attempting to turn over for 1-2 seconds then cranking all the way through. Just yesterday, I un flooded the engine and installed new spark plugs. as I tried to start up the car it was just cranking all the way through. I then uninstalled one of the new spark plugs and saw it was getting fuel. Before I start disassembling the elbow to the throttle body to test the coils and plug wires.. I was wondering if anyone can chime in and see if anyone had a similar experience? The car is mostly stock running a Power FC, recently started premixing (40z to full tank), replaced fuel pump and Open circuit relay. Any help is appreciated! |
