no air pump mean no heater?

on my 86 na ive never had a air pump hooked up since i bought it 3-4 years ago. now i havent had a heater and by heater i mean no air will come out. i bought a heater blower motor and havent installed it yet. is this my problem just a simple blower motor or do u think its bigger such as the air pump not being hooked up? thanks.

The air pump is for engine purposes only. Completely unrelated to the climate control systems. The blower unit, logicon and heater core will be what you'll be working with.

You can also pick up a Haynes manual for quick reference and check out online FSM like here http://wright-here.net/cars/rx7/manuals.html or here http://foxed.ca/foxed/index.php?page=rx7manual

If the motor is bad becareful when you remove it since the heater hose also comes from the engine and coolant may or will splash out.

ok thank you i myself believe its located behind my passenger side front speaker mount i have had a look in there with speaker mount removed but didnt see much and didnt certainly mess with anything since it have all kinds of non stock wiring going on

removing the blower motor will not in any way let coolant out.
