new hood?

yea just wanting to know if there is a cf hood or a lighter than steel hood for a 90 n/a.I am trying to loose some weight and that's where I want to start.

I edited as you can't post WTB's in Tech..go to Classifieds section if you want parts.
Now,with that being said here is some Info for you.
the Stock Steel hood is 56 pounds.
the Aluminum version is about 26-28 pounds.
Shine Auto( vendor) makes Fiberglass and CF hoods.Very light.
My hood,I can lift with one hand and toss it about 60 feet!..(about 10 pounds!)
Shop carefully as some aftermarket hoods do have fitment issues.I have not heard of any from Shine though.

I would actually Opt for the aluminum stock hood,as it is more durable...and it won't cost you 600 bucks!
The 28 pounds is really fairly light compared to the stock steel Toboggan.

@56 pounds a cf hood isn't a bad investment. It's really that heavy misterstix? 56 is insane

STYX is fine since my Name looks like an alphabet accident!
I noted that a while back, and really if you pick it up it "feels about right"!
Honestly,If you want to save weight and it is the "wrong poundage", Who Cares?!...sue me!(get in line for that!)..LOL!
It's heavy! ditch the POS!
Yes they make aluminum N/A hoods..convertables were known to have them. It's not a Ultra-rare thing.
Suggestive reading info is in the FAQ's up top of this section and there are threads scattered in the Specific and Archives that will tell you whatever you need to know.
