need oil cooling advice and opinions

Currently have a 13b na with a weber in a lotus 7 clone with limited frontal area, have reworked the original builder's water routing and now can hold 160 deg. in summer but my oil temps have been wanting to go over 250 on the road- it had a small 11x3x2 cooler in front, it started leaking so there is a 11x9x2 coming but it will infringe on the radiator air by the upper 5 inches, and am planning to go turbo2 in the future. here is what i am thinking--- use a beehive cooler with the largest oil filter that will fit and route the oil to it first and then to a fc cooler mounted to the side with a scoop and fan to draw air in. there is not room to mount the fc up front. my reasoning is that if i can hold water temp at 160 or so most of the time the fc will not have to do much cooling and during warm up the bypass valve in the fc cooler would do just that. there would be some added maintenance but in my case it would seem warranted. this would leave some space for a front mount intercooler although for starters am leaning toward using the t2 mounted in factory position and building a new hood with a scoop. I understand the beehive coolers are a dirty word here, but still, and lastly will i need the stand for the bee hive and will it fit a 13b? thanks in advance. Or am i missing something in the oil routing differences between engines?
