Need help! had a short fixed it now loud high pitched buzzing coming from inside dash

My hazards were not working, the fuse would get shorted instantly, I fixed that and when I put the fuse in the hazard works but there is a high pitched buzzing noise, I have looked about everywhere it's coming from the driver side, but I can't figure out why or where exactly, I did a little research and I unplugged the ocilator and it still didn't go off, it buzzest as soon as I put the fuse in the hazard fuse spot, and it does it with the key off or on, or even started and warmed up, any ideas! Please help. :(

Your Flasher ECU is shot. Most likely the relay or a component in the board.

heh..if the short was fixed it wouldn't do that..would it?..(get out the hammer!..mwuahhahhaa!)

The flasher unit is a black rectangular box under drivers side dash. Unplug it and if the beeping isn't coming from there and still going off, if you have airbag it will be a fault with airbag control unit also under dash usually towards tranny tunnel above pedals.

I see you have a 1984, so no airbag. The buzzing is probably coming from the oscillator behind the battery. Unplugging it will probably stop the buzzing but not fix the issue.

I didn't see he had an 84 as he never gave that info out..as he should have when posting.
It helps to know what series or year of car.
