need help finding something
Hello, I need some help, I don't know what kind of term, or where to look, in order to find a real rotor from a Wankel engine.
to be clear, I have searched on google for where to find one, but I don't get results, just useless links. If you could tell me, that would be nice, I pretty new here, so if I'm breaking rules by posting this then I didn't do it on purpose. |
Ok..I am not exactly sure of the question,so I will cover it in multiple answers!
I am assuming you are looking for a REAR Rotor. The Rotors are the same in the engine so the front and rear can be interchanged. They are Weight specific though and sometimes Series Specific so you will need to get the one that applies to your needs. IE: weights are in letters such as C,D,E...12A and 13B rotors are different. Turbo rotors,NON-Turbo rotors are different weights and compression rates. Lastly without having to delete this thread you can search to your heart's content in the CLASSIFIEDS for a Rotor..(just do not ask in this section as it is not meant to buy or sell parts here.).You will need a minimum of TEN posts to access the FS sections. Thanks and good luck. STYX (MOD) |
i see, thank you for the assistance styx.
i wasn't looking for a replacement rotor, so the type is probably unimportant, i wanted to display it as a decoration. |

Actually you would not believe the guys that Have just that part!
Again you can hit up the Classifieds. I am turning my housing and rotor into a Lamp! |
You can find junk ones on ebay, craigslist, or sometimes local shops that work on rotaries. Shouldn't be too expensive if they are unusable :P

^That's cool. And similar to my ashtray. But I was lazy....on my ashtray the e-shaft simply sits in the old flywheel-base. That way I can pull it out (using both hands ;) ) and dump it as needed.
Next time I'm at Harbor Freight I may look for some cheap casters to weld onto the flywheel so I can roll it around. Maybe incorporate some old pistons, or better yet, emptied turbo snails as cup-holders |
