My rx7 showed up today!

Welcome to the RX7Club. Can I ask what your goals are for the car?
The reason I ask is that if you intend to make a track car, that might be a pretty good candidate given the price you received and the fact that it is already missing a lot of interior. However, if you intend on some kind of restoration it might be a better idea to look for one in better condition. Not trying to be discouraging or anything, but we see lots of people buy cars that "need some tlc" and then realize how much cheaper it is in the end to just get a car that has been treated better. Heads up, when there is rust that you can see there is usually about 3x more rust that you can't see. The stuff on the floor should be fixable, but check underneath at the pinch welds and the frame rails too. If either of those are rotted they will definitely need attention too. Additionally, you are missing the rear panels for the fuel pump flange and fuel filler, so you might want to fab something to cover those as both are simply exposed to the elements under the car. Check the engine compression and don't try to start it otherwise until you have looked over all the basics and checked fluid levels. A poorly treated interior is usually an indicator that the engine was not cared for either. You also have impact damage on the front passenger fender, and the front bumper on the driver's side. Make sure the frame hasn't been tweaked. Right now my plans are to make it a bare minimum drift car. Get it running, get it solid, get it cleanish, throw some coil overs on it, a better steering wheel and go throw it around. Not planning a full restore or anything of that nature. Going to get some rx7 friends of mine over and toy with the engine for a bit and see what we can get worked out. This is going to be a fun project for sure haha

By the way, these cars use a flapper door style Air Flow Meter, not MAP, so you are going to need to find or make a throttle body elbow to connect the throttle body to the tube to the intake, or it will not start or run. The pulley for your power steering (which you will probably want to keep as you are drifting) is sandwiched between your upper radiator hose and the fan shroud. Also, I'm not sure if you got any additional parts with the car, but you are missing the leading and trailing ignition coils by the driver's side shock tower. You will need to find those. Do you know anything about the car's history? It looks like maybe it has been subjected to a partial part-out. I can't imagine why someone would remove the ignition coils otherwise.

I wish that pulley was the ps pulley.. Its missing the cut out inside that lines up with the one on the pump shaft. I'm not sure that pulley that is. Probably Just junk.

The one on your fan shroud is one of two pulleys, one fits on the shaft of the pump and one rides in a channel with an adjustment screw, that allows you to increase or decrease belt tension. All of which is moot, as you are deleting it. My understanding was that drifters prefer P/S because it allows for faster ratios on the rack while maintaining ease of steering, since you are often trying to achieve extreme steering angles. But I've never drifted, so I can't speak from experience.
