NC 1990 GTU FC Replacing RFotors

Just had a compression check on my 1990 GTU. It was 80. The car with 77,000 original miles stalls when coming to a stop IF yhe heater blower swith is turned to MAX, same when the air conditioner blower switch is turned to MAX. A mechanic set the idle at 1200 RPMs. Car starts right up, Do not notie any change in the gas mileage. If I need new rotor seals who can I get to replace them who live within 200 milrs of Raleigh North Carolina? Thanks.

Welcome to the board.

80 in each chamber? While that's not great, it's encouraging to hear that it still starts pretty easily. Maybe you can try Seafoaming the engine while you plan for your rebuild.

As for your question, you can try poking around in the SE Forum to see if you can find leads to a reputable, rotary-specific shop in the area you asked about.

Only really local shops that meet your 200 mile radius is Angel motorsport in Virginia beach and Rotorsports down near Kannapolis N.C. After that you're driving to TN, up north to IRP, or find a local to help rebuild it.
