LIM Powdercoating question.

Hello,
I am getting my LIM powder coated from a friend and he asked about the ACV piece that seems to have a rubber gasket, if that will be fine in 400 F oven. I didn't think it would matter because I am removing the ACV and covering it with a block off plate. But I though it doesn't hurt to ask.
Thank you,
Dustin.

Which generation car are you asking about? If a stock or near stock 3rd gen with twin turbos and stock precat, the heat will likely discolor the coated LIM over time. Typical powder coating does not stand up to high heat. The UIM would be OK since the heat is much less. I personally on my FD had the LIM and the UIM ceramic coated. As for the gasket for the ACV, IMO it will probably hold up. Some of the other gaskets on the 3rd gen LIM for the air pump pipes are more fragile and might not hold up.
Mike
