Injector spacing

Hello. I have a 88 FC3s which came without fuel rails or injectors. I got stock rails and new Denso injectors. I do not have the diffusers. Do I need the diffusers? I first installed using a spacer intead of the diffuser. Lost a top o-ring. Was wondering if my spacing was the cause? I have found no information listing the installation of the injectors with the diffuser. Thanks

welcome to the board. :)

the best i can do is ... you may need them. what size spacers do you have?

the thing is i think the injector actually "seats" on the top of the diffuser so without it, it can move under pressure.

Thanks for the advice. I found a thread that explained the need for a diffuser replacement spacer. Sold at Full Function Engineering.

I made some injector spacers to use in place of the stock diffusers. Used the dimensions from an old diffuser. The material is nylon impregnated carbon.
