What are you using to tune the engine? What are your AFRs at, if you have a wideband? The fact that it is rich, doesn't mean your injectors are too big. It means that it needs a tune.

Okay. You need an ECU to tune the car, and you need a wideband so you can actually know if it is running too lean or too rich. You can buy an Rtek 2.1, which is basically a chipped stock ECU that provides basic tuning capability. You can also go with a Megasquirt, which is a DIY type ECU that can have the nice functions of something like a new Haltech. Or, you go with a new ecu like Haltech or AEM. An Rtek is the only one that you won't HAVE to make a wiring harness for. Other ECUs you can sometimes buy a patch harness for, but just take the time to make a new wiring harness to replace the old and brittle 30 year old one.

I currently run an Rtek on my car, and it's okay. I'm going to be upgrading to a Megasquirt, the MS3X, pretty soon since it has much better tuning capabilities. I'll also be making a new harness as well. Aaron Cake has written an amazing write up for installing a Megasquirt in an RX7. Here's the link: How To Megasquirt Your 2nd Gen RX-7

Thanks a lot and how much does the rtek usually run for?

You can send your ECU in and have it done for about $600 I think. I'd suggest the Megasquirt. It'll only cost you a couple hundred more. By the way, don't go into boost with your car until you tune it.

But it does need new injectors still those old ones are gone still no info on injector size stock?

Good to hear you're not driving it like this haha. Stock T2 injectors are 550cc. If you want to bump the boost up some on the stock turbo I'd recommend 550 primary and 720 secondary, or 720 all around.

Sweet thanks any good website to buy 550cc injectors there are absolutely none in colorado springs

Sudowoodo 11-09-15 11:46 AM

I bought some RC injectors off of Ebay a few months ago. I'm running 750cc and 1200cc injectors from them. You could also find some used stock ones and have them cleaned and flow matched if you only want 550cc.
