Importing a JDM?

I hope this is an appropriate place to post this, but my question isnt if/when or how to import a JDM vehicle. I understand and have done the research on what can and cant be imported and what is needed for the car and from the seller to my specific area. But my question is has anyone ever imported any car? (JDM or other) If so what company did you use? There seems to be a lot of them out there but 90% of them at he very least require half the purchase price up front and as anyone else would feel, I feel uncomfortable handing over a large amount of money when in most cases is going out of the country. I know I can find one in the states for around the same price or a little cheaper but I really want a RH drive car. So anyways, does anyone know of any legit or reputable import companies? Thanks for any help!

If you've done your research why are you asking? Seems like that would have been integral in it.

I bought 2 Mazda 13Bdett engines from Engine World Inc in Houston. I just wanted to share here. Their website is Used Japanese Engines | JDM Engine | Japanese Motors

A friend of mine purchased an fc Turbo II from a place called J cars imports, he was pleased with the service and the car was what he expected. He did run into some issues meeting the emissions requirements here in Colorado, but he got it all sorted out.https://m.facebook.com/JCarsImportLLC/

I am in Richmond, personally had a hard time getting information from them and their price for pallet JDM drive trains was high. This is not to say they are good or not good. I just didn't have luck with them personally.
