Idle Issues

I've been doing a lot of searching, but to no avail. I have a 93 Touring automatic. I recently installed a Power FC with the banzai adapter and a rotary works TB. It has your basic intake, cat back, twin power, and down pipe. I have a hard time trying to get the car to idle right. It starts up normal, but when left sitting it climbs up and surges up and down. I had also recently blocked off the AWS and double throttle. I already checked for vacuum leaks. Any ideas would help out greatly. Tnks!!

I'm sure you should be able to set the TPS on that Power FC.
Try that first.

My FC used to do that. I went to cars and coffee one morning. Going through the parking deck I poped it in neutral * vraaaap vraaaaaapapap* never did it again! I'm thinking it may have been a thermowax issue and the heat opened it. Just my two cents haha

If you've done the idle learn procedure and adjusted the idle bleed screw, they I would re-check for a vacuum leak. You installed block off plates, did you use a good sealant with them? Vacuum leaks give symptoms as you've described.... as the engine warms up the idle searches and lopes up and down.

Tnks for the help guys!! I'll be trying it out again today.

Reinstall the factory throttle body, it takes a very experienced tuner to work the bugs out of the RW TB, not to mention the countless issues people have had with them leaking

I installed the old TB, no crazy surging anymore tnks!! Still giving me trouble to get the idle lower. Gotta adjust my TPS again as well. I'll keep it posted.

If you do not have the coolant lines connected then the thermo wax will not close the throttle plates, lowering the idle
