Hey everybody ..

just ist tried to install my new ailfilter from hks

so I got the oem airbox out and installed everything the way it should be. I installed a breather to the air pump.

the only thing I don’t get is the one hose that goes into the air box as seen in the first picture. And leaves the box right side(when I stand in front of air Box) ..where does that hose have to end? Cause when I pulled out the air box it pretty much was just ending no where. Anybody here can help? I put a sec. Picture from hks.

Thank u

It goes to the other end of the split air pipe. The air pump connects to one and that hose connects to the other

Hey thanks for your help. But I think that this whole part is missing. So you mean the split air pipe that goes to the oem catalyst?:dunno:

cause i bought it with a re amemiya cat. This might be why this is a dead end. Mine was just hanging out of the air box to he right 4” directly over my fans.maybe you have any pics.would be a big help here. Cause workshop manual doesn’t say anything..

I have the same setup although changing shortly.
The hose in question has a muffler attached to the end that used to go to the air box - its to eliminate the “moo” sound. It doesn’t connect anywhere. I have it zip tied to lowerst part of the back of my fan shroud and venting near the passenger side radiator support bracket. The air pump is also vented openly with a small circular metal piece (with holes) to protect from sucking in any big particles. I zip tied that also to the cai support brace.

Can you post pics of what you did, please? (To stop the mooing)

The previous owner on my car just stuck a breather hose on mine.
