High Milage FD

Hey guys I have a 140k mileage fd that has currently been rebuilt once. It has a lot of issues to put slightly some more major than others. Only reason I bought the car was because I got it for very cheap. The car really shows it's age inside and out.

Should I invest money on rebuilding this car and other things even though it's chassis has 140k miles? Or should I sell it and find one with less miles to work on?

What would you guys do?

depends on what exactly these problems are. if theyre all repairable within reason then keep it and make it better. if theyre problems that would require an insane amount of work to deal with such as wiring issues then part it out or sell it to someone that will

What kind of wiring issue?

cr-rex 01-18-16 12:59 AM

are you asking me what wiring issues your car has? it was an example.... does your car have wiring issues?

No like what kind of wiring issue would make it or break it for you personally. No it doesn't.

oh... i would say something left by the previous owner. as in an over abundance of hacking and splicing to the point things arent working the way theyre supposed to. gremlins if you will.....

like if the horn went off when you turned on your headlights but it only happened sometimes or the only way to get something to turn off is to pull the fuse. basically just someone that went nuts with a pair of dikes and electrical tape.

Probably it'd be a good idea to take the car to a rotary specialist to get their honest opinion about the state of the car. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone in SD area, you may want to go to LA instead.
