help!stuck wide open throttle when driving

93 rx7 fd single turbo . custom wire harness . i dont understand why but my last post about my boost creep dissapeared and i am not sure why. anyways i was driving my car and i had the throttle stick wide open bouncing off redline. i know that it isnt the cable because i looked under the hood the cable isnt the problem the actual throttle body itself is sticking open it takes a large force to pop it back closed its sticking about half and about full.. it did it again on the highway scaring the crap outa me so i wanna figure out what to check/maybe jsut buy a new one. it only has one throttle cable going to the trottle body and the "double throttle" paddles have been removed .. any info would be appreciated,. im pretty new at the mechanics of this car.

Thanks i found it. any ideas on my throttle problem?.

Stop driving the car for sure. If you confident it's not the cable, pull the TB and examine it closely. I guess the previous owner could have screwed up the butterflies somehow while removing the double-throttle, but an up-close examination will tell you more.

well i am no longer driving the car thats for sure. but heres the thing the car did that once when i fist got it and since then i had a new motor installed and since then it never did it.. i just had the upper intake manifold and throttle body to do the rats nest examination to find out i dont have one haha. but i did clean out everything with brake cleaner and at the moment when it was off i had no problem with it sticking now i put it on the car and it seems like it sticks every time.

well when i get off work in the morning i will be removing it all again to examine it as well as polishing the inside of the throttle body.

any good threads or sites about removing all the extra b.s. off the throttle body that is un needed. ?

bump for some information please. im planning to attack this problem in the morning right when i get home from work.. as well as pulling out the shaft on dual or secondary throttle? dont know what its called the guy before me pulled off the butterflys but didnt pull out the rod. i read a thread about using jb weld and something else to plug those holes any info, recomendations, or advice ?

I'd re-consider that it's a cable problem.
