Help ID my storage unit find(s)
Hi all, I started a similar post in the wrong place. Oops. Can ya'll help me ID this engine? I have additional parts too, included the radiator. Picked all this up in a storage auction. I've always wanted an RX-7, but for now I just have parts of one!

Its a 13B, what looks like a Turbo II. Is that airbox/ intercooler for that engine? It looks like probably a 13B turbo. Which is awesome. I have a carbureted 12A and it hauls ass, the 13BT has significantly more power. If the engine is usable that is a major score, although from the sound of it, it may need a rebuild. (Likely the reason for the motor to be in storage?) Either way still an awesome engine. Not terribly difficult to rebuild either.

Thanks! I assume it is the intercooler for that engine. There was a ton of stuff in there from an RX, mostly from under the hood. There was also a spoiler. Is there a rebuild guide anywhere that you know of on this website or another? I've done some car work for sure, but never an engine rebuild. I'm interested in trying, especially with a cool engine like this... Maybe I can pick up an RX in need to put it in!?

I would recommend seeing if any RX-7 owners or rotary shops near you would be willing to inspect the major parts of the engine after you disassemble it. You want to be absolutely sure that your rotors, housings, and irons are still usable before you spend the money and effort on a rebuild. If it turns out that you can rebuild that engine, you could have an awesome project ahead of you since roller FC's aren't very hard to find.

Thanks. Anyone got a shop recommendation in WA, preferably central or western WA

yup, s4 T2 engine. But yet a s4 N/A dynamic chamber? You gotta mis-mash of parts there

I live in Washington, I would Definitely recommend First Stop Performance. Don and his brother Ron do Great work on rotaries, and have great customer service. Its located in Snohomish. i know thats about two hours away from you but its hard to find a good rotary mechanic around here. He's my go to.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll definitely reach out to those guys in Snohomish. I've taken some more, better pictures. It seems like there are two of some parts. Can anyone tell if there is enough here to cobble together a complete motor?https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...38f8822c76.jpg
