Help with 1983 ecu and ignition issues!

Hello everybody! I just got my new 83 up and running after giving it a heart transplant from my old 83. I am having issues with the trailing coil not firing off the trailing spark plugs. I have put brand new coils, new cap, and new rotor. Now I have power to the trailing coil and if I take a jumper wiring from the negative terminal of the coil and hit the negative post on the batter it will discharge the coil and essentially do what it's designed to do. So I thought maybe an ecu issue but I've check the passengers ode floor board and can't seem to find the damn ecu. Plus I'm not 100% sure the best way to test the ecu to ensure it's functioning correctly. I really would like to get these trailing plugs going so I'm running more efficiently and getting more pep out of it.

Have you tested the ignitors or tested for spark at each plug?

Yeah we tested spark at each plug and when using a timing light we are not getting a signal off either the plug wires from the distributor or off the new coil.

The computer does not control spark. Test the ignitors.

What would be the best way to test the ignitor?

Here is how to make a tester. https://www.rx7club.com/1st-gen-arch...nitors-742083/
