Gas tank or fuel cell?

I'm having a hard time finding either one for ny 85 gsl.
Any Help?

You will have trouble finding a fuel cell (that thing hydrogen vehicles use instead of a fuel tank) for a 25 year old car. :)

If you are looking for a gas tank I recommend the forum's for sale section. (although you may not be able to access it yet due to your low post count)

fuel

a fuel cell has long been a racing gas tank not a hydrgen storage system

These things are getting pretty hard to find (gas tanks), but Respeed is starting work on building improved stock replacements https://www.rx7club.com//showthread.php?t=947504

What is wrong with the current tank?

and lol @ fuel cell comment :) If you want to go that route, run a search in the race section or 1st gen tech section.

Good luck...

Rust and tar

This thing has not been registered for 11 years. The bottom is coated in a half an inch of tar and disgusting rust!!

A lot of radiator repair shops will service gas tanks as well. They boil them out, and then seal them again. Seems to run about 50 bucks or so, and most seem very happy with the results. Might be worth a shot as long as rust holes are not the issue you are dealing with. :)

I know a good radiator shop I'll see what they say. I found one local for $65

I know of a couple places that would probably have one, let me know if you need their contact info. I take it the $65 is for another gas tank. It was pretty funny abut the fuel cell comment from the first guy :)

Yeah $65 for a tank but it's like an hour away and I haven't had the time to pick it up. He says it's good so I'm just gonna go with that one, I did hear about a couple good alternatives!
