fuel pump...
 

currently doing a turbo swap on my fc. would it be better to get the turbo fuel pump or if a walboro kit? not too sure.

For stock boost and a full TII swap, use the stock pump.

If you intend to run most boost, use the Walbro. But be aware that it may make the car run a little richer due to increased fuel pressure.

If you're going to be using a stock turbo and stock FPR, a fuel pump from an FD is a better option. As Aaron mentioned, unlike the walrbo pumps, it won't drive up fuel pressure at idle or under vacuum, but still be good for roughly 300 whp.

The stock TII pump barely flows at all once you increase fuel pressure (via increasing boost).

How much is it usually for a fuel pump from an fd? Sorry, still a newbie to rotaries. For the most part ive been talking to my friend who works on fc's.

It varies. If you want a new one, expect about $150-$200 from any auto parts store. A used one can be as cheap as $20-$30.

well you have to remove the Sender off the tank to get at the Pump.
So,once you have that off(six Pesky screws),and remove the hoses,and disconnect the power connector(always DISCONNECT battery BEFORE You do anything electrical..anything!!!!!!), you can take the pump off and replace it with either the walbro or FD pump,.straight and Easy wire up..One from the pump to Ground(neg) and one from the Pump to the Positive located up on the inside of the sender unit.
once that is done.,put back in,put hoses on and reconnect the power(connector) and you are done.

The FD pump bolts right in, but as mentioned, the fuel pump flange screws can be a real pain if they are rusted. Clean the heads thoroughly with a wire brush, soak over several days with PB Blaster, and use a PROPER SIZED screwdriver to remove. It helps to hit the screwdriver handle with a hammer a few times to break the screw loose.
