Fuel line change, now no start
 

We (my father and I) changed the fuel lines on my Rx7. Car now won't start. We have spark, and fuel pressure at hose and after filter. Searching the forum and the manual for an answer, but I am unclear; If I read correctly, the right line from the fuel pump is the feed. That connects to the filter and the filter out is to the pipe closest to the radiator? Too dark to follow the lines to the fuel rail so it would help if you can verify by confirming which metal tube is for incoming fuel and use front (rad) or back (firewall) rather than primary or secondary fuel rail to describe. Also, will reversing the lines damage anything?

This is where the confusion starts and sorry if I sound dull but " facing firewall means I am standing in front of bumper facing firewall and left to right indicated left of engine (pass) to right so again, description seems unclear to me. I am standing against the drivers fender facing the engine. rad is left. firewall is right. so, left pipe is for return and right is for inlet? if so, I have reversed. One of the drawings from other descriptions show the left (rad side) as inlet and right (firewall) as return.

I will attach a few images. Also, i cannot find the multi-pin connector to prime pump but there is pressure at the fuel line coming from the filter to the steel inlet tube (although I may have reversed the lines... which is why I am posting).

The fuel check connector is on the passenger side of the engine off of the emission harness which feeds the wires to the boost/pressure sensor. The plug has but two wires and the plug is Yellow and encased in a Black rubber boot. Wires are brown and a Black wire. Plug is usually found hiding underneath the harness.

I meant standing at the bumper facing the firewall, IIRC this is correct for both LHD and RHD

All done. Lines were reversed. Still not finding diagnostic sockets but I think my model has
a few green ones rather than one larger one as pictured. Not certain but all is fine for now.


P.S. Used cupro lines for both the fuel lines. Easy enough to bend into shape and easy to bubble flare with the right tools. The previous owner had the two lines from the pump replaced up to around the first bend but one line (return) was 3/8. Neither are injected fuel lines so those will be changed soon.
