Fuel leak between back of engine and bellhousing

Im having a fuel leak at the back of my N/A 13b after a fresh rebuild on my 87 fc. The fuel seems to be dripping off of the between bellhousing on the transmission and the rear of the engine.

What could be the cause of this fuel leak?

Do NOT drive your car until you check the fuel pulsation dampener.

The screw may have backed itself out into the plastic cover on the end. This is a very common occurrence and is often the main cause of engine fires for our series four cars.

Yes - absolutely essential to not even START the engine until you have found & fixed the problem!

In S4 N/A 13B's, the pulsation damper is at the front of the primary fuel rail...not the rear. Since you are seeing fuel at the back of the engine, the hose between the primary and secondary fuel rails is a likely suspect. If you remove the intake air duct, you should be able to at least have a look in that area.

Thanks for the help guys.

I was suspecting that it was the pulsation damper, but i was not quite sure since it was in the front. either way, ill change that thing out and take a look a the fuel lines later today.
