FD3S not starting - Microtech ECU
 

hi guys

im having some trouble starting my car, i installed a brand new microtech lt10, did over my fuel system, bigger turbo, new throttle body,etc. Wanted to start up so we tried the fuel system first, we encounter small leaks from not tightening the hoses properly. we solved all leaks and went on to ignition now. my fd3s is wired the same as my pops race car, only difference is that he runs a LTX 8 and i run the LT10 which comes with the ignition box. did some testing only to find out that i'm not getting spark from the coils when cranking with the key but i'm getting the spark if i do a test over the laptop. we thought was maybe the crank sensors but a technician checked the sensors and said its still magnetizing. Is my bosch coil packs no good? is my ecu faulty? what about the crank angle sensors?

i need some help asap....thanx

we did some testing again last night by using a distributor and it worked, so far the crank angle sensors seems to be the problem. once i order two new ones and put it on, then i will know better.

hey a couple of things to check witch u may have already is power,be sure that coils have power during crank an not just key on same as for ecu power but u probably would have noticed that one and that the ecu is set up for fd triggers..other than that they are very basic and don't need much to run..those are the most common problems i see,also u can check that when u turn key on on your key pad or lap top see that it goes from 0rpm to crank or some rpm,that will tell u that its seeing the triggers..good luck

i got the car to start, i borrowed my friends crank sensor and encountered the same problem, thats when we realised that while trying to start, the ECU weren't getting any volts. so im starting and driving now, my new problem now is that my FD takes a long time before she can start. i'm wondering if because of my intake and exhaust port are too big?
