Okay so I made a video to help better understand what my issue is.

I have checked all the fuses and relays in the car that i know of and none of them are cooked. If it helps I am still getting power through the wire to the switch inside the car. I've checked the internet and couldn't find anything. I did use the diagram of the headlight electrical network thingy (sorry I don't know what it is called) I found on here and can't really make much sense of it. I'm sure I am missing something obvious, but like I said in the video, I'm not the best with this kind of stuff haha.

The obvious questions are what wires did you play with when hooking up your relay, and how did you go about doing this? Did you follow a guide somewhere?

Anyway, I've attached the wiring diagram for the headlights. Assuming you've only botched something near the switch, we'll start there.

Since the FTP lights work, we know that the R (Red) wire coming into the switch is receiving power from the 30A headlight fuse. This same fuse powers the headlight relay, so we'll assume that's working for now.

Now, the headlight switch should GROUND the W/L (White w/ Blue Stripe) to trigger the headlight relay whenever the switch is turned "ON". This wire is likely where your issue is. It would also be a good place to tap for DRL. Look for this W/L wire and see if it is one you have messed with. If you haven't touched it, check your switch to make sure that wire is being grounded when the lights are turned on.

That wire will trigger the relay, which will then provide power on the W/G wire (White w/ Green) that flows through the switch to the headlights, and also powers the retractable lights. You can check this line for power coming in (W/G) and going out (R/Y) to see if the relay is being triggered.

Since I cannot think of an ignition sourced ground, here's how you could wire the relay to trigger the lights whenever the car is turned "ON"

Pin 30 - GND
Pin 87 - Connects to W/L wire (don't cut the wire, just splice into it)
Pin 85 - GND
Pin 86 - Ignition sourced +12V

Hey, first of all thank you so much for replying. I was not expecting it at all.

Now I have three wires coming from my switch for the head lights inside the car. They are Red, Green and Black. Does this help any? Those were the only wires i had been messing with. I do however see the wires you are talking about, but I don't see how the would have messed them up. Again I apologize if it seems as though I have no idea what I'm talking about because I really don't lol.

Oh yeah, I had been following a guide the came with the DRL kit I bought. Obviously I didn't understand it haha.

So here is where the three wires I was just talking about come from. ( Red, Green and Black ) All three wires come from that part.

Here is the DRL Kit relay that I had bought and tried to wire up. It has four wires. I can go into detail of how I wired it if it helps.

I didn't chop any wires by the way. Everything is still intact from what I can see.

Ok, it looks like you've only hooked up two wires so far on that relay, where do they go?

I had currently unhooked the kit all together to try and get the headlights working again without the relay kit, but I will explain how I did have the kit wired up. The Green wire from the DRL Kit went to the Green wire (In Second picture) from the headlight switch in the car. I then had the Red wire and Brown wire from the DRL Kit hooked to the Black wire (Third picture) in the car. The Blue wire from the kit was hooked to a fuse in the engine bay. The Blue wire needed to be connected to a fuse the controlled something that would power down when ignition was engaged like window wipers or radio. (It was one of these two, I dont remember.)

I can't tell if this is the blue one you have pictured or not. Can you get a better picture of the wires going to the blue connector you saw? I'm pretty sure it's the one. But, the colors don't match coming out, so i'm unsure of which side of the connector these wires are supposed to apply to. I'll try and see what you would've wired into.

That looks like it matches up to the connector I was messing with. Your diagram though looks like to be the back side from what you see in my picture. This helps though, thanks. I can't do anything till Sunday so I wont be able to get more pictures till then.

OK, I think that's the "harness" side. Judging by this, it seems you tapped into the following:

Your "G" (Green) wire is the BTN wire, basically just a signal to the ECU so it can bump the idle up a hair when there is electrical load.

The "B" (Black) wire is a ground for the headlight switch unit

The "R"(Red) wire that you tapped seems to be the HEAD wire, which is the ground source for the headlight relay.

How did you tap into these, cut them, splice them, etc? Putting them back together should've made everything work again unless something got fried or a connection isn't good.

If you ground the W/L Pin (Red it seems on yours?) it should trigger the headlight relay, and cause the lights to come on. I guess that would be the starting place to see if everything is working up to that point. This will bring power in on the W/G line which goes out either the R/Y (High Beam) or R/W (Low Beam).

Okay so my headlights are working. I started to pry off the headlight switch inside the car that you use to turn on your lights when driving and they started working lol. The wires that I was messing with was in a harness. So my question for you Sonic is where do I find this connector that you posted the picture of? I took a solid look this morning and couldn't find a connector that matches up. It shouldn't be near the ECU is it?

My apologies on the late response!

That connector should be right under the dash where you were earlier. It's the one you took pictures of earlier with the green and red wires and such coming from it. Did you ever get your relay wired in? If not, I can whip up a diagram of how to connect it with what wires going where.
