Fc RX7 Rust repair
 

i was looking to buy an Fc RX7 and i saw one for sale on facebook and i saw that it needed a fair bit of rust repair and i was wondering if anyone would be able to help me estimate the cost that i would be to repair it

any info or estimates would be much appreciated

Anything is repairable with the right amount of money. However, this is borderline a parts car with that amount of corrosion. It would require an extensive amount of work, and unless you're comfortable doing it yourself with sheetmetal, welding and fabrication, that will likely cost way more than finding a cleaner chassis to start from. I would walk from that.

yeah i was thinking that however it is a hardtop turbo model with the engine and a clean interior and a 1/4 of the price of a clean one which is the only real upside to it only real reason why i thought it might be worth it

Well, if the price was right, and you had the space, you could buy it as a parts car and shop for a cleaner chassis to swap the good stuff over to. S5 turbo2s are hard to come by, so that's a tough choice to let it continue to rot away.

I'd stay away from that as a driver. It's only a part car.

From just the little you see of the car, I'd say fixing it, is not feasible. Rot always runs a lot deeper than you can see and with this, you can see a lot. Fixing up even a decent car can easily cost over 10 grand. Something like this would be hard to even find someone willing to take on the job. As a project, it would be a bottom-less money pit.
