FB Suspension Lowering
 

Hi All

I'm researching a project FB, and would like to lower it on coilovers. I'm not after road-scraping low, but I understand you quickly throw out the suspension geometry doing this.

Can someone tell me what needs in addition to the coilovers to get the car lowered, but also driveable?

Just as initial research I have seen a company that seem to cater for this, and sell coilover kits along with other suspension adjustments:

What would I need? I have heard the roll centre must be adjusted, the panhard bar fouls as standard and the watts links need replacing etc etc... Can someone shed some knowledge on me please!?

Technotoy is a great source as you have found. Depending on your goal you can stay with fb front suspension or swap in fc front suspension which is a whole lot of work and is worth every bit of it. You can then run fc coil overs with fb top plates. For the rear you can go technotoy and be happy. If your not looking to slam it then front and rear coil overs from technotoy will be all you need, but if you want to go really low you will need some of there other parts to get the geometry to work and get aligned.

Thanks for the response. I would not be looking to slam it, particularly if by not doing so the whole suspension geo problem can be avoided.

Then I would suggest you start with the front and rear coil overs and see where you go. I have the rears on my fb and love them, Im going the fc front subframe route so thats why I bring that up.

Thanks for the information. If I can avoid going too mad but still achieve decent handling and a little bit lower/taughter then I'll be happy.
