Epoxy or tape for body trim
 

Am I better off using a car epoxy or a car trim double sided tape for the rubber door molding on the SA/FB? It was loose when I was painting the car so I completely removed it. The back side of the trim piece is fairly clean and the spot on the car has fresh paint and clear coat. I've heard points both ways on what holds longer and if something will destroy the paint. I have the epoxy laying around but cautious to use it. Any advice is greatly welcomed.
