If it's an early '87 with the resistor pack, using high impedance injectors would give a total resistance of 18-19 ohms. This would make the injectors slow to respond, and probably create hesitation on quick throttle input / secondary injector transition.

The resistor pack is easily bypassed if this is the case. Disconnect it, and then jump all 5 pins together on the harness-side plug. This just connects all 4 injectors to a common ground (the 5th pin).

got low coolant buzzer taken care of, connection to sensor was fragile so had to make it better.

Open issues:

1. Water temperature gauge not working

2. Oil Pressure gauge not working

3. 5beeps-pause-repeat happens after I drive it for few minutes and goes on until I turn it off.

Water gauge is taken care off, i failed to connect the wire, no i have to figure out what happened to oil pressure sensor and wire

so only two open issues remain.

I guess his is an early '87 if he has the LI injectors since it seems to run.

Clean up the oil pressure sending unit. They get caked in sludge and go on strike. As for the error codes, here's what the 2nd gen FAQ has to say:

Probably the power steering computer telling you there is a problem with the system. The number of beeps before pausing will indicate the problem.
1-beep, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of speed sensor signal:
In case broken wires or short circuits occur to sensors or harnesses, the buzzer sounds 60-seconds after the engine speed signal of 2200 rpm continues for 18-seconds.
2-beeps, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of engine speed signal:
The buzzer sounds twice and repeats when the vehicle speed signal is missing input and/or no engine speed signal is found (short circuit, broken wire, etc.)
3-beeps, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of stepping motor signal:
The buzzer sounds when there are broken wires or short circuits in coils or harnesses.
4-beeps, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of the power steering microcomputer:
The buzzer sounds 4 and repeats when there are circuit troubles other than with the micro computer.
5-beeps, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of steering sensor signal: Steering sensor is mis-aligned or failed or steering wheel has been improperly installed.

Sounds like the last one, steering sensor.

now i just have to figure out how to fix so it will stop beeping.

when I drive in straight line my wheel is turned few degrees to the right. I guess first thing and the cheapest is to fix it.

any ideas on how expensive the steering sensors are?

one the side note: this did not stop me from taking RX7 to "The Dragon" US 129 HWY. Never had this much fun in the car driving on public road.

Also today got to fix high idle issue. It was improperly installed accelerator cable (by me). After driving on Tail of the Dragon I stopped to check condition of the car. Was checking for leaks and other issues. Found that I incorrectly installed accelerator cable, which I was able to fix.

New issue that came up today was coolant leaking from the gasket that is located under cap on the water pump where radiator hose connects. On Monday going to go check with Mazda to see if i can buy it if not than it is job for silicon

No idea... sounds like unnecessary equipment to me. I've never had a problem with one. An alignment might help. Or just disconnect it :D

We actually had a small meet up on the Dragon a couple weeks ago. My car decided to die so I ended up driving a Miata but it was still a lot of fun. Had a few RX-8's come out as well.

The plastic part that holds the rad cap on the thermostat neck is supposed to have an O-Ring under it.That may be why you are leaking there.
Also check to see that the Power steering pump is hooked up to the harness,
Do you have an aftermarket steering wheel on your car?.If the steering angle sensor(under the steering wheel) is out of whack then you get the 5 beeps,due to that.

it actually seems to be leaking from gasket and not from the cap,


car has original steering wheel but i thing it was replaced at one point with racing one and than original put back on. Also sometimes my horn goes off but wire is not hooked up to the steering wheel

I stopped by dealership and was told that they don't sell this gasket, the guy from parts counter recommended to go to parts store and get cork gasket sheet.

with few minutes of work i cut out new seal and no more leaks. also at the same time upgraded to better cap with pressure release.

Just for future reference a wedge punch makes for quick removal of the auto counter weight. I broke an auto weight before using the technique you normally use for a manual flywheel.
