engine install

i recently bought a 91 rx7 convertible that is missing the motor and trans. im getting a 13b n/a and 5 speed trans this weekend. what kind of difficulties might i run in to?

Um... No different from dropping a motor in any other car.

You might wanna watch the heater pipe in the upper middle of the firewall. I've heard about people crushing those when lowering the motor in.

ok thanks. ill keep the heater line in mind. ive pulled a couple engines out, but never put on in, so thats another reason i was askin about any difficulties, i forgot to mention that earlier. this is also my first import car. im newb when it comes to anything not made in america

It's mostly just obvious things like removing the hood and radiator beforehand. Putting the engine and transmission in at the same time will be easiest too. 4 people work well: 1 under the car feeding the transmission through, 2 on the sides of the engine, and 1 more moving the cherry picker forward bit by bit.

thanks. i apreciate it. and also before i do put the motor in would it be good to replace the motor and tranny mounts with urathaine?
