Engine to Chassis ground strap?
Hello 7 owners I have a burning question for you.
Being in the final stages of this build, I know that I lost my engine to chassis ground strap. This is on a 1984 GSL-SE 13b Does anyone know exactly where this goes? Does anyone have a picture? Any and all help is much appreciated!!! |
It doesn't matter where it goes. You could ground it to rear axle if you wanted lol
As long as its grounded from the motor to some body panel/firewall your fine |
I ended up just putting one under a bolt on the rear housing to the firewall. I dont know why I hesitated so much to install haha. I guess its the fact that Im trying to be careful, silly me. Anyway, everything is now in order.
Just to share, im going to pull my car in third gear in hopes to spin up the freshly rebuilt motor that has been cranking too slow (even though I replaced battery, starter, and just put this ground wire). Im crossing my fingers and there will be one of two outcomes: 1 Car starts and my very clean se will be back on the road after 5 years (college) or 2 There will be a very clean complete all original GSL-SE for sale and a grown man crying in the corner |
