Emblem woes?
Hi all,
So I bought a 93 RX7 with a 99 Nose and 99 Engine. I bought some OEM Enfini emblems from Japan, and when they arrived they have 2 nubs in the back that are to insert into the bumper. Problem is, that my rear bumper where the emblem goes, has 3 holes, none of which line up with the emblem. These are the OEM emblems, so they dont have any color in the "back ground" of it. So even if I just tried to line up the emblem and just stick it on, the hole is visable through the emblem. the front nose has 2 holes, 1 inch apart directly side by side, and the emblem doesnt fit on that either. What are people doing to get around this? Am I the odd one out that has some extra holes drilled into my bumper? |
You need to make sure you purchased RX-7 specific Efini emblems. It sounds like you got shipped 2 front emblems, but if the posts don't match up with your bumper's holes, they might be for a different Mazda car.
I would recommend trying the Efini emblems from RX7.com: RX7.COM | FD Exterior The "Rear" emblems they sell come with the appropriate 3 posts (2 large, 1 small) to fit your bumper. However, these ones come with background colors unlike the ones you have currently. |
Right on.
Well in that case, Anyone interested in buying some Efini Emblems? Hopefully I can offset the cost of buying these ones from RX7.com Thanks man. |
My best recollection is that my rear bumper only had two holes. And as you've probably noticed already, some versions of OEM emblems do have background colors.
