egi comp fuse question
i am wandering if the egi comp fuse would pop or fail in the event of overheat or other engine about to blow? im asking because i was flipping a uturn spinning out and almost went around in a complete circle spinning too much and i ripped the steering wheel the other way and st8tened it out but right afterwards lost all power and when i push the clutch in to see if i had slipped outa gear or something and it instantly died(all in about 1.3 seconds) it then rolled to a stop right off the road outa the way.. after like and hour and half of cranking checking looking smelling doing anything to find something out.. right before i left it there i checked the engine fuses. egi comp was blown. i was sooo relieved i thought i had blown my engine or something. i used the retractor 30a fuse replaced the blown egi comp fuse and bam started right up. now everything is a ok but, i would like to know why this fuse blew out in the first place.(also in the engine bay after it died there was power steering spray in a few places. could this have sprayed onto the fuse location and popped it?) any help or advice is appreciated. like i said no problem now but maybe i can prevent one if i know why it popped.. thanks
