Door and Window Problems

My drivers side door wont open from the outside. However it does from the inside. Also neither of the windows work. I know I probably just have to take the door panel off from the inside but can anyone advise me how I could do this easily, and what tools it would require to do without breaking anything. Thanks alot for any help :icon_tup:

You just need your basic screwdrivers and some picks. If you had a panel remover it makes life a lot easier. Just take your doors off and you should be able to see the problem right away. You can prob just do it at the dealer and show them the part, that way you won't have to mess too much with it.

you just take out the 7 phillips screws and remove the window handle then jus tpop all the plastic clips on the botto, of the door. then jsut pop it off the window edge. fairly easy. pretty self explanitory. then the door handle comes off with 2 10mm nuts and a couple plastic clips holding the rods to it. you should be able to figure out whats up from there. but if you have p/w or PDL then idk. dont have those so never dealt with them on my beast.

You will have to take off the door panel, which is pretty straightforward. The door handle is going to need to be replaced, so be forewarned. The handles are painted to match the car, so you either will have to buy a new one $$ or find a used one that will work/match on your car, and hope it lasts.
The windows may be the switch. Question, can you work the passenger's side window with the switch on the passenger door?
While you are working on the door handle, pull the switch out and take it apart, but be careful, there are some small springs inside. Take a look at the contacts and see if they are burnt. If so, clean them up and spray them with contact cleaner.
