What is the big difference in having a Rotary Engine, and swapping it with a V-8.

Is this a serious question?

They are two completely different engines with completely different layouts.

OK i understand but that's not my point, why people swap there rotary with a V-8 engine if it is heavier then the Rotary engine. And with a rotary you can take allot of HP in a 1.3l engine.

My guess is that it is different priorities. Cheap straight line acceleration for someone who puts in a V8.

Typically it's because people don't understand rotaries and, because of that, they are deemed as unreliable.

Yeah but it may not be reliable but the amount of HP you can get on that small engine is like no words to describe.

As someone else said, it's about straight line HP.

It's also 'because they can' and because they can afford to, or because they have a piston engine laying around and no money for a 13b/20b. 13bs will likely be in short supply in the future since they stopped producing them last month.

Personally, I stick with rotaries because of handling - the weight makes for better cornering up front. Running a 12A in my FB right now and when that dies, I hope I have enough in my account to do the 20B swap... but small blocks might become more prevalent for the same reason.

So should you? Your car. I've seen more than two online with an electric motor, but here's two:

I think V8 can be better on drift race, but my 13b have the best handling on all race and enough power

do the math.
13 is greater than 8..by five!

I AGREE WITH FEDO79, AND misterstyx69. V8 CAN BE A BIG ENGINE BUT I DON'T SEE WHY WE SHOULD SWAP IT IF A 13b CAN PERFORMED BETTER.
