Crank but no start

Hi I’m new to the forum. I have a 1988 Mazda RX-7 NA. I’ve been having troubles with my car not going above 12 volts. I know it’s running on the battery, so I’ve been trying to get to the root of the problem. I replaced the battery multiple times and I have a new alternator in there. Neither of these things fixed the problem, so I checked the wiring and my voltage regulator plug that goes into the back of the alternator wasn’t giving off power. I bought a new one and spliced it in. When I put everything back together and tried to turn on my car, it would crank but would not start. I thought this was weird because in theory, if my solution didn’t work, my car would still fire right up as it usually does, just off of battery power. When I replaced the wire, I took off all of the intake except for the manifold with the exception of leaving the air box in because I couldn’t unplug the MAF. I did happen to unplug the wire going to my OMP and the wire going to my throttle but I plugged those back in after I re-wrapped the harness. My friend also unplugged wire going into the CAS first, but we put that back on after we realized we were going in the wrong direction. Also if this wasn’t inferred already, I disconnected the battery before doing any of this. Any help at all would be appreciated. Thank you.
