ive got a 85 fb carb that i want to convert to fuel injected...im not fully familiar with these cars so i dont know what all ill have to do...can anybody whos done this before help me out?!

Dude, that's going to be a chore, why do you want to do that?
|
The GSL-SE trim level of the 84-85 cars was fuel injected. If you can get a harness, ECU, block, and a few other things, you can upgrade to the stock Fuel Injection setup.

Exactly, what you are talking about here is a complete engine swap with the necessary electronics, or trying to cobble together a FI system for your current block. Which means a custom manifold with injector bungs and a fuel management system.

It really depends on how he wants to go about it. If I was doing this, I would just make an adapter that allowed me to mount a throttle body on the Mazda lower intake manifold, then add injector bungs and run the thing with a Megasquirt. Going with the stock EFI from the GSL-SE is kind of crazy.

well i heard that fuel injected may be better...no?

Better is a relative term. Carbed rotaries, older ones, have been shown to produce more peak hp generally, along with less fuel mileage. It can run upwards to 2k+ to do the full conversion, depending on intake and ecu/fuel systems installed. The following link may give you a general idea of what Aaron suggested.
