cold start, start up....then dies. Won't start afterwards.
as the the title states, in morning it'll fire up, run and idle. after a few minutes it'll stall out and won't start again. even after sitting for hours.bought and swapped in a rebuilt motor.. I'm stumped as I'm new to this rotary thing. thanks in advanced for any and all suggestions/advice.
car is a 1987 rx7 N/A btw. regards, tony |
Try jumpering the green fuel check connector and see if it stays running, it it does, than your AFM may be at fault

Is it still cold when it dies, it might be flodding which would explain why it won't start again. Not sure why it dies tho :/

sounds like a flooding using
remember when this engines start cold they ten to run real rich dumping fuel into the housing once the engine has finish reaching a reasonable operating temperature then it does a fuel trim and burns off all the excess fuel its always very important to let it run until optimum temperature before turning off |
also since the vehicle is shutting off after start that means there is also somthing going on wrong
basic diagnostics of the issue is mandatory check the following do you have enough air do you have 4 sparks do you have enough fuel |
