Cluth pedal in or out?

My FC had the manual trans originally in, but when the previous owner transformed the car into an automatic V-8, he left in the clutch pedal & reservoir. I do prefer to drive stick, but not what it takes to reinstall a manual transmission to do so. Anybody got any pointers? Please no BS non-related comments. Opinions or experienced people please👍👍

If you asking for info then you get the good and the bad and no inbetween.,If you want exact answers with NO BS then, please take this with no Offense: it would be beneficial to search for it yourself. You would get only what you want to get.
But this is a Car Forum with 100 thousand people giving an opinion,..and they want to share it!!!
(I've seen threads that a guy will answer with "cool car" and there is no pictures up,no relevance,no info..!!..so take that into consideration. There is always somebody in the crowd!..you can't screen that..hahha!)

Anyhow, let's get some answers for you on the go.

You have not stated whether the car is a V8 still or if you want to put a Rotary back in it and put the manual transmission on that.,
If you can be a little more clear on that, you can get more precise replies.

I had a whole Shitload of info typed on the AUTO to Manual swap, only to delete it after re-reading.
IF you intend on keeping it AUTO then 2 choices come to mind which is remove the unnecessary pedal and it's components..AND the other one is to get a AUTO pedal set.(where there is no clutch pedal. The brake pedal would be larger too.)

Quick Useless note(maybe,maybe not):
The Auto Trans car body is set up a little different than the Manual Trans Car body..meaning the Body mounts on the car for the cross member are slightly different.
If you look at threads where the guys have converted Auto to 5 speed trans,I am sure you can find a pic or two of what I am referring to.
They have had to fabricate mounts to put the Manual in an Auto car.

If you keep the car V8 and want to put in a Manual Trans, then I'd have to point you to the "Other engine conversions" Section.
I myself had thought of this, but I'm still a Wankel guy.
I did find some info on Granny's Speed Shop though, where they had parts to convert to V8's.I looked at that to see what I would be getting into IF I went that route.
Anyways,I hope that helps..

if it's an auto then just yank it and set it aside for possibly reverting it back later down the road.

you can plug the firewall with a body plug found from various other cars.

why ask though, it's doing nothing sitting there in the car... i hate dead weight and a dead pedal is just that. this isn't rocket science here.

Thank you...I didn't think about the mounts. And, yes- still V-8, and sticking with it. I really appreciate you honest opinion. I may just pull the stuff to keep it simple. Let my next car be manual. Who knows, I may get some $$ from them.

I agree with you buddy. Thanks. I never thought about putting it back in later, I just figured less work to keep in "incase" I do.

being an auto i would probably go for the automatic pedal assembly since it is wider and uses the unused space that it provides. you'll only be using one foot most of the time anyways.

Thanks, but I'm not really worried about pedal distance or space....I'm thinking term usability.

Lmao!!! Unity, Captain. Tearing down the walls between us, to recognize that we are one. I'm talking of the thing that makes us the same. Peace. We want peace.
